The intense northern hemisphere summer heat that drove wildfires across the Mediterranean, buckled roads in Texas and strained power grids in China last year made it not just the warmest summer on record - but the warmest in some 2,000 years, new research suggests. The stark finding comes from one of two new studies released on Tuesday, as both global temperatures and climate-warming emissions continue to climb. Last year's summer season temperatures on lands between 30 and 90 degrees north latitude reached 2.07 degrees Celsius (3.73 degrees Fahrenheit) higher than pre-industrial averages, the study said. "We don't have such data," Esper said. That would account for about 1% of global deaths - roughly the same toll taken by the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Over a fifth of excess deaths linked to heatwaves over past 30 years occurred in India: Study
India was followed by China and Russia, with each experiencing roughly 14 per cent and 8 per cent of these heatwave-linked excess deaths, respectively. ADVERTISEMENTThe study, led by Monash University, Australia, found that heatwave-linked excess deaths accounted for about a third of all heat-related deaths and 1 per cent of total deaths globally. Researchers also found that of the overall 1.53 lakh excess deaths occurring every summer, close to half came from Asia and more than 30 per cent from Europe. "During the warm seasons from 1990 to 2019, heatwave-related excess deaths accounted for 153,078 deaths per year, a total of 236 deaths per ten million residents or 1 per cent of global deaths," the authors wrote. The researchers said that while previous studies have quantified excess deaths due to heatwaves locally, they have not compared these estimates across the globe over a prolonged duration.

सड़क पर उलझे पति-पत्नी, घंटों तक चला ड्रामा, वीडियो वायरल:जमुई के कचहरी चौक के पास बीच सड़क पर ही पति पत्नी आपस में उलझ पड़े। एक दूसरे पर दोनों ने कई आरोप भी लगाए। मामला बढ़ता देख लोगो की भीड़ मौके पर जुट गई। करीब एक घंटे तक हाई वोल्टेज ड्रामा दोनों के बीच देखने को मिला। जिसका वीडियो अब तेज़ी से वायरल हो रह. बता दें की पूजा की शादी तीन साल पूर्व लखीसराय के रहने वाले गोपाल पंडित के साथ हुई थी। करीब दो तक दोनों के बीच रिश्ता अच्छा रहा। जहां दोनों एक दूसरे के साथ रह भी रहे थे। दोनों के दो छोटे बच्चे भी है। पूजा ने ससुराल वाले पर मारपीट करने का आरोप लगाते हुए पति से अलग हो गए।कोर्ट में देख की हंगामाजिसे लेकर छह महीने पूर्व जमुई कोर्ट में एक मामला दर्ज करा दिया। इसी मामले में पति कोर्ट की सुनवाई पर जमुई पहुंचे थे। पति गोपाल पंडित को देखते ही पत्नी भड़क गई और उसके साथ हाथापाई करने लगी। पति के गले में गमछा डालकर उसे जबरदस्ती थाना ले जाने को कोशिश करने लगे।इधर बीच सड़क पर पति-पत्नी के बीच ड्रामा होते देख गोपाल पंडित के वकील भी मौके पर पहुंच गए और दोनों को समझने की कोशिश करने लगे। लेकिन गोपाल पंडित की पत्नी पूजा अब वकील से ही भीड़ गई। वकील साहब को धमकी देते हुए कहने लगी कि आप कोर्ट के अंदर दखल दीजिए, कोर्ट के बाहर नहीं। यह सुनकर वकील साहब मौके से हट गए।मां-बाप के कहने पर की मारपीटपूजा कुमारी ने बताया कि हम इसके माता-पिता के साथ नहीं रहेंगे, वह झगड़ा करते रहते हैं। हम अलग रहेंगे। इसके साथ दिल्ली में भी रहे। वहां भी मेरे मां-बाप के कहने पर मेरे साथ मारपीट करता था।दोनों के साथ रहने की इच्छापूजा के पिता सतीश पंडित का कहना है कि हम चाहते हैं दोनों अच्छे से आपस में रहे।साथ में रहने का तैयारपति गोपाल पंडित का कहना है कि हम इसे रखने के लिए तैयार है, पर यह रहना नहीं चाहती है। एक साल से ऐसा हो रहा है। दो बच्चे भी है।
