Severn Trent are currently working in Sneyd Green and Birches Head as part of a multi-million pound project to replace around 24 miles of water pipes. Now Sneyd Green ward councillor Laura Carter has raised the issue of the 'extensive' amount of potholes with Stoke-on-Trent City Council. ‌Councillor Carter said: "This week I spoke to cabinet members about the extensive number of potholes in and around Sneyd Green (and Birches Head) caused by the diverted traffic being sent through our area. Current restrictions have seen motorists travelling from Hanley unable to turn onto Birches Head Road while Kelvin Avenue is also shut.
