KOTA KINABALU: The state’s healthcare personnel had spent three days on Pulau Gaya here to conduct prevention of and control Covid-19 infection among the islanders. Sabah Health department (JKNS) director Datuk Dr Christina Rundi said the activity was conducted by the Kota Kinabalu Health Office from March 28 until yesterday. Health personnel taking samples of 1,600 people from Pulau Gaya to test for Covid-19. During a joint operation, JKNS’s Inspectorate and Legislation unit together with police, local authorities and RELA personnel had inspected 309 premises, and ordered three water dispensing machines in Sandakan to be closed. The operation went smoothly with support and cooperation from the National Security Council, police, army and RELA.
