FIVE cash prizes totalling RM19,888 will be given away to lucky ratepayers who pay their assessment tax this year and settle arrears via online payment platforms, kiosks and appointed collection agencies. Seberang Prai City Council (MBSP) mayor Datuk Rozali Mohamud said that to qualify for the lucky draw of the ‘Let’s Pay Taxes Online’ promotion, ratepayers are required to pay their assessment tax for this year from July 1 to Aug 31. “Those who make their payment at MBSP counters are not eligible for the draw.”Rozali added that Penang Smart Parking would be offering extra incentives. Several methods will be used by the council to deliver the assessment tax bills to a total of 163,513 registered accounts. “Permitted premises for employees include existing business and industrial buildings in Seberang Prai,” he said.
