The event is a part of the US-based DI’s recently launched “Shantite Bijoy” (win with peace) campaign which aims to help holding the next general polls peacefully. Among others, Democracy International Chief of Party, Katie Croake, non-profit youth organisation Jaago Foundation Founder and Chairman Korvi Rakshand and Dhaka Tribune’s Editor Zafar Sobhan were present at the event. A total of 130 participants, students of seven universities who participated in the workshop, identified the obstacles to holding a free election. The main purpose of the event was to encourage the youth to play a bolder role in the process of national development. The 11th parliamentary election is scheduled to be held on December 30.
