Officials are investigating after a man died while police were taking him into custody in southwest Calgary early Monday morning. for reports of a man having a mental health crisis, according to a release. "As the man was taken into custody, he experienced a medical crisis," the release said. Paramedics then took the man to hospital, where he was later declared dead. Because it's considered an in-custody death, the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) has taken over the investigation.
