Manchester bombing: Kiwi expat Jo Howlett describes fear, 'heart-wrenching' atmosphereA New Zealand expat who's lived in Manchester since 2003 has described the fear and heartache felt by people across the UK city following a suicide bombing that killed at least 22 people on Monday night [Tuesday NZ Time]. FACEBOOK New Zealand expat Jo Howlett says she'll "keep people closer" in the wake of the Manchester concert bombing. Howlett described the attack as "heart-wrenching" and said she'd be more wary next time she visited the city centre. She pointed to the 1996 Manchester bombing carried out by the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA), which injured 200 people, as proof the people would band together. Police said they had arrested a man there, but they didn't believe he was connected to the terror attack.
