PTI's Shah Farman loses PK-70 to ANP after recount


Khushd­il Khan wins with a margin of 187 votesPESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Shah Farman lost the PK-70 (Peshawar V) constituency to Awami National Party’s (ANP) Khushdil Khan after a recount on Thursday. Farman had bagged 14, 648 votes to Khan’s 14, 871 in the July 25 polls. Previously, Khan had secured a total of 15,357 votes – 47 votes less than the PTI candidate. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Rajmali Khan bagged 260, Qaumi Watan Party’s (QWP) Noorul Amin secured 360 votes respectively. ECP okays recounting in 14 national, 10 provincial constituenciesIt is pertinent to note that Farman will retain his spot in the K-P Assembly owing to his win in PK-71 (Peshawar VI).
