Spector was a music producer that was known for creating The Wall Of Sound, which was used by 60s bands like The Ronettes and The Crystals. He had caught coronavirus in prison four weeks ago and died after being transferred to hospital this week, according to TMZ. The site reports that Spector was diagnosed with Covid and went to the hospital but recovered well enough to return to prison. Spector is credited with developing the Wall Of Sound technique which was a process of overdubbing scores of musicians to make a full sound. Spector was sentenced to 19 years to life in prison in May 2009 for the murder of actress and cocktail waitress Lana Clarkson.
