The company behind a proposal to undertake a major development on Timaru's vacant Showgrounds Hill site says it is still pushing ahead with the project despite the Covid-19 pandemic. Redwood Qt Limited chairman Tony Gapes said the Covid-19 lockdown had not affected progress of the proposed $90 million development which was ongoing. "Luckily, we had the site surveyed and other site investigations that we needed at this stage completed before the lockdown. Timaru District Council's holdings company, Timaru District Holdings Limited (TDHL), confirmed it had sold the 12 hectare site to Auckland-based Redwood Qt Limited, subject to due diligence, for an undisclosed sum.
