Taranaki has had no new cases of coronavirus announced since April 1. Taranaki has now gone two weeks without a new case of coronavirus. On Wednesday, director-general of health Dr Ashley Bloomfield announced New Zealand had 20 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the nation's overall total to 1386. Taranaki's 14th and most recent case was announced on Wednesday, April 1. As of Wednesday morning, 10 of the region's 14 cases have recovered, the Taranaki District Health Board said.
