Though the Vasyl Lomachenko-Nicholas Walters matchup on Saturday certainly hasn’t gotten the quantity of media attention as the Andre Ward-Sergey Kovalev fight, the junior lightweight title bout should pack plenty of excitement. There are at least three compelling reasons to catch the fight on HBO at 10:35 p.m. ET/PT, the most compelling of which is how Lomachenko’s boxing skills will match up with Walters’ power. As Top Rank’s Bob Arum said in the week leading up to the fight, “Nicholas Walters is the hardest puncher in these divisions — they don’t call him the “Axe Man” for nothing and he always give 100 percent. And Vasyl Lomachenko is an unbelievable technician who has done really the impossible, winning world titles in two divisions in a record-few seven professional fights. It should be exciting, and Forbes will be here throughout the night, giving our round-by-round thoughts, explanations and unofficial scoring.
