Spain’s rules vary from one region to another but one thing’s clear; the Guardia Civil, the local police, will not hesitate to slap €100 on-the-spot fines on anybody not wearing a mask. The only exemptions to mask-wearing are sunbathing or swimming at the beach, eating and drinking. Dining in restaurants is limited to groups of four inside and six outdoors, and there’s an 11pm-6am curfew.
