KAJANG: Satay eateries in Kajang have seen a 50 to 60 per cent increase in customers days after the Sungai Buloh-Kajang MRT line opened on July 17. The Kajang MRT station is situated steps away from the famous Medan Sate Kajang and Restoran Sate Kajang Haji Samuri, making it a convenient food stop without the hassle of hunting for a parking spot. “I have never had so many customers in the 20 years since my restaurant opened,” Restoran Sate Emas Kajang owner A. Rahman Husin said. He added that weekends were particularly busy days with the restaurant filled with customers from morning to night. Firdaus Danial, 17, and his schoolmates took the MRT from the Kota Damansara station after school to have their very first Kajang satay experience.
