Colombian soccer star James Rodriguez has finally been granted a visa just three days before the start of the new Major League Soccer season. Minnesota United signed the high-profile midfielder to a short-term contract earlier this month. However, reports in Spain on Tuesday alleged that Rodriguez was still without a visa ahead of the team's first game of the season against Austin on Saturday. The 34-year-old will occupy an international roster spot on a guaranteed contract through June when the league pauses for the World Cup. The 5-foot-11 Rodríguez became a worldwide star at the 2014 World Cup, when he won the Golden Boot award as the tournament's leading scorer with six goals in five matches.
