UnsplashNew data from the MakeLoveNotPorn Academy has revealed that parents are concerned about their children’s access to porn online. De Souza urged following the report: “We urgently need to do more to protect children from the harms of online pornography. Snapchat was recently sued as a result of its design features facilitating the sharing of child sexual exploitation material. However, we cannot rely solely on teachers or regulation on social media companies to do this.”AdvertisementThe Child Mind Institute offers resources on speaking to children about porn and said on their website: “Let [your children] know that porn is acting. You won’t see those conversations in porn, but they’re still important.”They added: “We’re not telling parents to authorise watching porn, any more than talking about drinking is giving them permission to drink.”

Los Del Rio in the iconic Macarena music video. Sony BMG Music EntertainmentIf you are old enough to remember the ′90s, you’ll remember the absolute chokehold that Los Del Rio’s hit Macarena had on our airwaves, school discos and even pubs. As soon as those opening beats hit, everything was duly dropped so that we could get in line and mimic the dance moves from the music video. AdvertisementHowever, now that I know what the song is actually about, I think that my childhood self was strutting her stuff to some seriously dodgy lyrics. While it may just seem like a silly pop song, it’s a tale of a dying relationship, and the ways in which a woman, named Macarena, copes with it.

The US Votes for Its Next PresidentToday people across the United States are voting to elect their next president. If Ms. Harris wins, she will become the first female president of the US. If Mr. Trump wins, he will be the first president in over 125 years to win two terms that weren’t in a row. In this system, each state gets a certain number of “electoral votes”. Normally when a candidate wins the most votes (of people) in a state, the state’s electoral votes go to that candidate.

Political observers say a winner may not be apparent on Election Day, if the race is as tight as polls project. View Full Image The final polls showed Kamala Harris and Donald Trump locked in a close race across seven battleground states. Trump’s campaign has signaled confidence, pointing to polling that it says suggests their candidate is better positioned ahead of Election Day than before his 2016 or 2020 bids. The Harris campaign emphasized the scale of their get-out-the-vote effort, a larger and more professional operation than Trump’s, which is largely being handled by outside groups. Throughout his comeback campaign, Trump has emphasized illegal immigration and has proposed an economic policy focused on boosting tariffs to extract leverage on other nations in trade and foreign policy.

On Oct. 25, The Washington Post announced that it would not be endorsing a presidential candidate in the 2024 general election. Bezos published a column in The Post to explain himself days later. Our objection lies in the fact that The Post's Opinion editors or editorial board members did not make this decision — the multi-billionaire at the helm of the ship did. Private capitalist and journalistic interests cannot coexist ethically at such a national organization as The Washington Post. As an influential voice in American politics, voters look to editorial boards like The Washington Post's to make informed judgments during high-stakes elections.

Stefanie Smallhouse, president of Arizona Farm Bureau, recently explained to HuffPost why it's crucial to consider farmers when you vote, especially if you care about inflation. "Dairy farmers are operating within very slim margins. The last one was passed in 2018, and there has already been an extension on it, so an updated Farm Bill hasn’t been passed yet. Why is the Farm Bill important, and why is it important that it’s updated? The Farm Bill is meant to be a living document that includes an extensive package of programs to help rural America and America’s farmers and ranchers.
