It’s the kind of thing AI technology needs to feed off of in order to create stuff, like videos and script notes. Under that deal, Runway will create a new AI model for Lionsgate to help with behind-the-scenes processes such as storyboarding. Plus, there’s some skepticism over whether audiences would accept films made primarily with AI tools. Discovery said it would use Google AI technology to power captions on unscripted programming, “significantly reducing production time and costs.” Warner Bros. Major Hollywood studios haven’t sued the AI companies yet, but some industry observers say not to rule it out.

India And China Secure Border Patrol Agreement The deal is seen as a significant thaw more than four years after deadly clashes shaped relations between the two Asian powersIndia and China have reached a landmark agreement on military patrols along their disputed border, marking what some are calling a thawing of relations after years of tension following deadly clashes. For months leading up to this agreement, both India and China signaled intent to mend fences. India and China fought their last major war over border disputes back in 1962 — another ghost looming over current dialogues. India's relations with China remain complex, like tenuous threads strung tightly between collaboration and conflict. For him, sealing the peace agreement can be cast as no small feat, as Pramit Pal Chaudhuri, head of Eurasia Group’s South Asia practice, insightfully noted.

The Pittsburgh Steelers did not need much help handling the New York Jets on Sunday, but former President Donald Trump was ready if needed. The Steelers defeated the Jets, 37-15, on Sunday night in the presence of Trump, who had been in the Pittsburgh area for the weekend. Trump held a rally in nearby Latrobe with former Steelers stars Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell in attendance on Saturday. When Steelers fans spotted Trump at the game, a loud "U-S-A!" Brown was spotted wearing dark MAGA gear ahead of the game, throwing out vintage Steelers "Terrible Towels" that were makeshift Trump/Vance merchandise.

The New England Patriots lost 32-16 to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on Sunday, making it their sixth consecutive defeat. First-year head coach Jerod Mayo did not mince words when speaking to the media after the game about his team’s play. That’s being able to run the ball, that’s being able to stop the run and that’s being able to cover kicks. "I saw guys getting out-leveraged, I saw a punt down the middle of the field, which is always difficult to cover," Mayo said. Mayo opened his press conference on Monday addressing the comments about being a "soft football team" he made on Sunday.

The first was a political and legal effort by conservative politicians to restrict truth-telling and information-sharing by social media companies. Social media companies have insisted their technology is politically neutral, a claim their conservative critics have turned against them to devastating effect. In Texas and Florida, Republican lawmakers passed legislation in 2021 that would restrict the ability of social media companies to moderate their own websites. Officials from both states explicitly said the laws were intended to keep social media from unfairly silencing conservatives. Notably, the court left the Texas and Florida laws blocked for now and tacitly allowed the Biden administration to keep communicating with social media companies.

Gay is a bit of a weenie NY sports writer. His primary point is that sipfan behavior is sort of indicative of where the country is headed. They should have stuck with their original call and tagged the home team with a penalty on the fans. He admits it was a bad call, but basically meaningless in a game in which tu was being manhandled. He eventually devolves into whining about having to review the toe position on every NFL catch, etc, etc, ad infinitum, ad nauseam.

White House national security spokesman John Kirby says President Joe Biden is “deeply concerned" about the unauthorized release of classified documents on Israel’s preparation for a potential retaliatory attack on IranBiden is 'deeply concerned' about the release of secret documents on Israel's possible attack plansWASHINGTON -- President Joe Biden is “deeply concerned” about the unauthorized release of classified documents on Israel's preparation for a potential retaliatory attack on Iran, a White House spokesman said Monday. The Biden administration is still not certain if the classified information was leaked or hacked, White House national security spokesman John Kirby said. “We’re deeply concerned, and the president remains deeply concerned about any leakage of classified information into the public domain. The release comes at a pivotal time in the Middle East, as Israel considers its response to Iran’s attack. “I imagine they'll eventually get to the bottom of it,” said Wilde, who formerly worked on the National Security Council.
