At the recent Franklin County Republican Committee (FCRC) meeting, information was presented regarding Pennsylvania Secretary of State Schmidt’s announcement that the Pennsylvania election may not be called on election night although this is required by law. In response, FCRC Chairman Fred Young and committee persons representing 72 County Precincts addressed a letter to Governor Shapiro. The FCRC is also inviting the remaining 66 countyRepublican committees to communicate their concern about the PA (1 https://www.cbsnews.com/news/pennsylvania-election-mail-in-ballot-processing-60-minutes) government not providing the resources to ensure that state election law is followed. Secretary Schmidt faulted Pennsylvania Republican lawmakers for failing to pass a bill permitting pre-canvassing ofballots, perhaps preparing to blame-shift. It is certainly within your duty and capability to support the mandated, timely vote counting process.
