The user wrote, “Entire cabin dark, FA [flight attendant] asks him to lower shade and he says ‘um no.’”On the sub-Reddit forum titled “americanairlines,” users debated who is in control of the window shade. Need-based care (see Exhibit 1) can improve care utilization, reduce the cost of care by better managing the need for acute care, enhance engagement with health consumers, and potentially create space to serve underserved communities. This approach to care is expensive, does not improve overall health outcomes, and can often reflect a poor experience and engagement for the consumer. This process can improve health outcomes by letting data inform one's health in real-time, and likely enhance the care experience. The Bottom Line: Technology can rescue us from us and improve outcomes across all attributes of the quadruple aim of care. The need-based intervention paradigm is our best practical chance to improve the efficiency of the healthcare market and, hence, improve the outcomes across the quadruple aim of care.

Israel has claimed to have killed the head of Hamas’ military wing, Mohammed Deif, but the group has said he survived. The Israeli military said it targeted a command center run by Hamas and Islamic Jihad inside the school.

ESPN accused of ‘willfully’ violating emergency alert system rules in 2023 NBA promos
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) proposed a fine of $146,976 against ESPN Thursday over the company’s alleged improper use of the emergency alert system (EAS). The FCC accused ESPN of violating the emergency alert system six times, starting Oct. 20, 2023. The agency said it received complaints of ESPN improperly using the tones or a simulation of the tones during a promotion last year. “Transmitting EAS Tones in the absence of an actual emergency is not a game,” FCC Enforcement Bureau Chief Loyaan A. Egal said in a news release. “These types of violations can raise substantial public safety concerns by causing confusion and in some cases interfering with legitimate emergency uses.

Kawhi Leonard to be sidelined 'indefinitely' due to knee inflammation
Leonard and the Clippers have gone through a variety of medical treatments to control the inflammation since the end of last season. Lawrence Frank, president of basketball operations, said at the start of training camp that the inflammation had gone down significantly since last postseason, but that the team wanted to get the franchise star’s knee to 100% and would take every precaution.
