The sister of a man who died seven years after being left brain damaged from a one‑punch attack has described the sentence given to his killer as "soul destroying and morally wrong". Simon Hackett, who was assaulted by Jordan Docherty in 2015, died in 2022 after a series of medical complications linked to the blow. The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a fresh hike in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol), citing escalating global geopolitical tensions. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced Friday a sweeping package worth five billion euros ($5.8 billion) aimed at cushioning the economic impact of the Middle East war, including a “drastic reduction” in energy-related taxes.
