General News of Tuesday, 3 March 2026Source: www.ghanaweb.comGhana Immigration Service (GIS) has confirmed the arrest of eleven foreign nationals at Tuba in the Ga South Municipality over alleged counterfeit US dollar operation. The suspects were picked up on January 5, 2026, during an intelligence-led operation by the Anti-Human Trafficking and Cyber Fraud Taskforce Unit of the Weija Sector Command. He also disclosed that between January and March 2026, the command rescued 42 other foreign nationals who were allegedly trafficked into Ghana to engage in cyber fraud activities. “Earlier this year, a major operation led to the arrest of 11 foreign nationals involved in producing counterfeit currency. These individuals were brought into the country illegally and engaged in the printing of fake money,” he said.
