Just 28 percent of Americans believed that sending troops to Vietnam was the right decision, with 48 percent saying it was a mistake and 25 percent unsure. Some 36 percent of Americans said the Afghanistan war was a mistake, with 39 percent in favor and 25 percent unsure.
