After several consecutive days of fatalities, no dengue-related deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, while another 219 people have been hospitalised. This keeps the tally of deaths to 188 this year, while the total number of hospitalisations stands at 44,692. According to the health directorate’s bulletin on Friday, Chattogram division recorded the highest number of new cases with 74 admissions. With Friday’s admissions, hospitalisations in September climbed to 13,216 -- the highest monthly figure in 2025. September has also recorded the highest number of dengue deaths this year, with 66 fatalities.
