Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population on Sunday reported 653 new coronavirus cases, 19 deaths, and 511 recoveries. A total of 296,929 cases have been disclosed in Egypt, alongside 16,970 deaths and 250,304 recoveries. Moreover, the Health Ministry has stated that official figures likely only represent 10 percent of actual cases. According to World Health Organization data, as of September 14 over 12 million vaccine doses have been administrated in Egypt. Egypt is set to receive 5.2 million doses of the Moderna and Pfizer coronavirus vaccines in September, Zayed announced.
