Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population on Sunday reported 884 new coronavirus cases, 61 deaths, and 766 recoveries. A total of 350,397 cases have been reported in Egypt, this includes 19,933 deaths and 291,980 recoveries. The Health Ministry has stated that official figures likely only represent 10 percent of actual cases. A statement from the Health and Population Ministry on Wednesday said that a total of 41,939.792 coronavirus doses have has been administered in Egypt so far. Egypt’s vaccination campaign began in January with priority groups and later expanded to university students.
