Dbeibah, who leads the country's Government of National Unity, is in Beijing to attend the 10th Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum on Thursday. Last year, bilateral trade between China and Libya reached $6.1 billion, up 16.09 percent year-on-year, according to official statistics. Also on Wednesday, Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks with Dbeibah, who is also Libya's foreign minister. Dbeibah said that his country values developing ties with China, and the two countries' practical cooperation has played an important role in promoting Libya's socioeconomic development. He also said that Libya expects China to play a bigger role in working for a settlement of the Palestinian issue at an early date.
