Egypt’s Prosecutor General Hamada el Sawy ordered late Sunday the detention of the doctor and another employee in a private hospital for four days pending investigations. The four-minute video, which went viral on social media platforms, showed the doctor hurling insults at the elderly nurse and asking him to kneel and pray for his dog. The video caused a wave of anger among social media users who saw the doctor misusing his power against the nurse, abusing him and publishing these videos on social media. The doctor called Amr Khairy, added that half of the video is fabricated, and that he never asked the nurse to kneel for his dog. The nurse, Adel Salem, however, affirmed that the whole situation took place as it was showed, six months ago.
