Despite being referred urgently to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Sevirces (CAMHS), her case was deemed to be “non-urgent”. We are in the grip of a mental health crisis and these statistics should be seen as more than just numbers. She said: “A larger number of people than ever before require mental health support, but under the SNP we have a record number of staff employed to do just that with our mental health budget set to exceed £1.5bn this year.
