“Promotion-deprived” lecturers of the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) General Education Cadre have demanded that those eligible be promoted by Nov 12. However, in the education cadre, nearly 2,500 officers from the lecturer level (32nd to 37th batches) are not receiving promotions despite having achieved all the necessary qualifications.
