CAIRO – 19 May 2022: Egypt has so far administered more than 85 million coronavirus vaccine doses to citizens, Presidential Health Advisor Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din. The state has large quantities of vaccines and citizens should receive both vaccine doses., Tag El-Din told Sabah El-Kheir Ya Masr TV program on Wednesday. According to the ministry statement, 2,893,359 people received their booster shots. The ministry attributed the reason to the high vaccination rates and booster doses given to citizens. Beheira has been one of the Egyptian governorates with the highest coronavirus vaccination rates, the ministry said, quoting Hany Gemeia, deputy undersecretary of the ministry in Beheira.
