CAIRO – 17 November 2021: Presidential Adviser for Health Affairs Mohamed Awad Tag el Din said on Wednesday that Egypt currently has a large number of COVID-19 vaccines, noting that the Egyptian government has allocated all the necessary funds to obtained these vaccines. Tag el Din pointed out that Egypt has more than 1,000 vaccination centers spread throughout the country and that there is currently ‘very high demand’ of citizens to get vaccinated. On Monday, Tag el Din said that Egypt has all kinds of approved coronavirus vaccines enough for vaccinating all citizens. He explained that vaccinated citizens may be revaccinated since the coronavirus vaccines are effective for 6-9 months. The adviser noted that the peak of the fourth wave of Covid-19 has not been reached yet.
