CAIRO – 9 September 2021: Egypt is following up the accelerated developments in Guinea with deep concern, asserting the seriousness of the ongoing crisis in the African country. The United States condemned the violence taking place in Guinea, calling on all parties to engage in dialogue. US Department of State Spokesperson Ned Price said in a statement, Sunday night "Violence and any extra-constitutional measures will only erode Guinea's prospects for peace, stability and prosperity. These actions could limit the ability of the United States and Guinea's other international partners to support the country as it navigates a path towards national unity and a brighter future for the Guinean people." The armed group leader, Mamady Doumbouya, announced the dissolution of the government along with nationwide curfew in the country.
