CAIRO - 5 November 2021: Egypt's Health Ministry said 911 new coronavirus cases were detected on Thursday, upping the total number of infections since the outbreak of COVID-19 in the country to 334,751. In a statement, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed said 57 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 18,889. Egypt has started its vaccination campaign in January this year, during which around 25 million citizens have been vaccinated against the novel virus. The country has received all types of vaccines worldwide, the latest of which was Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson. The country has also allowed the vaccination of children who are above 15 years of age to receive the vaccine.
