REUTERS/Eloisa LopezCAIRO - 25 September 2020: The Health and Population Ministry said Friday night that 568 new coronavirus cases were detected, upping the total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak in the country to 300,278. In a statement, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed said 36 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 17,110. The Greek government supported Egypt with 250,000 doses of the coronavirus vaccine “AstraZeneca”, announced the Egyptian Ministry of Health on Friday. The shipment arrived in Egypt in the past two days, the statement added. In her meeting with the Greek ambassador to Egypt Nikolaos Garilidis, Egyptian Minister of Health Hala Zayed appreciated the Greek government’s support provided.
