CAIRO - 5 October 2021: The Health Ministry said that 771 new coronavirus cases were detected in Egypt over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of infections to 307,569. In a statement on Tuesday, spokesman for the Health Ministry Dr Khaled Megahed said that 33 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 17,469. Egypt has announced it has entered the fourth wave of Coronavirus as infection rates climbed up. The Ministry of Health also announced that five different vaccines are now available in nearly 539 vaccine centers across the country against coronavirus. Adviser to Egyptian President for health and preventive affairs Mohamed Taj el-Din stated that the fourth wave of Coronavirus has started in Egypt, expecting no soon end to the pandemic in the coming years.
