CAIRO - 6 October 2021: The Health Ministry said Tuesday night that 778 new coronavirus cases were detected, upping the total number of confirmed infections since the outbreak in the country began to 308,347. In a statement, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed said 39 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 17,508. As many as 893 patients were discharged from isolation hospitals after receiving necessary medical care, taking the number of recovered cases to 260,540 so far, the spokesman said. Egypt has announced it has entered the fourth wave of Coronavirus as infection rates climbed up. The Ministry of Health also announced that five different vaccines are now available in nearly 539 vaccine centers across the country against coronavirus.
