Kakamega Homeboyz will take on Al Hilal Benghazi of Libya in the first preliminary round of CAF Confederation Cup that gets underway in August. Gor was supposed to return to the Champions League but their past sins of failing to clear with former foreign players worked against them. Homeboyz are clinging on hope that Kasarani or Nyayo Stadiums will be given the greenlight to host their home matches. Should the inspectors fail to be impressed, Homeboyz will have to stage their home matches either in Tanzania.
