A penalty-kick early in the second half was the difference for the Iowa State women’s soccer team Sunday in a 1-0 non-league win over the University of Northern Colorado at Jackson Field in Greeley. The Bears lost their opener to the University of Colorado, 3-0 Thursday in Boulder. Iowa State outshot UNC 12-9 for the match. The Bears outshot Iowa State 7-4 in the second half. “Similar to the Colorado State game, we grew into the game,” Barrera said.
