COLOMBO (News 1st): The Junior National Championships 2021 has been postponed, taking into account the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation in the country. Commenting on the National Championships 2021, the Athletics Association noted that 29 more events are yet to be conducted. Earlier, 09 priority events of the National Championships 2021 were already conducted on Friday (May 21) at the Sugathadasa Stadium. According to the Athletics Association, the remaining 29 events will be conducted in three or four stages. “We will give a minimum of one month’s notice prior to conducting these events so that coaches and athletes can prepare for the competition,” the National Athletics Association of Sri Lanka noted.
