The performance of the national cricket team during an active home season, which ended with the Test series against New Zealand, has left the nation of cricket-lovers saddened. The team and its management suffer from lack of vision and inability to rectify inherent faults. Our players fail to play Test cricket the way they need to. It is high time the team was selected without myopic considerations of ethnicity and regional bias. A few changes made during the New Zealand series should be an eye-opener for all concerned.
