Migrant worker wins NT$12m in scratch card gameBy Cheng Chi-fang and Hollie Younger / Staff reporter, with staff writerA Vietnamese migrant worker yesterday won NT$12 million (US$379,627) on a Lunar New Year scratch card in Kaohsiung as part of Taiwan Lottery Co’s (台灣彩券) “NT$12 Million Grand Fortune” (1200萬大吉利) game. Three Vietnamese migrant workers visited a Taiwan Lottery shop on Xinyue Street in Kaohsiung’s Gangshan District (崗山), a store representative said. The “NT$20 Million Super Red Envelope” (2,000萬超級紅包) game costs NT$2,000 per ticket, with 10 NT$20 million prizes and 1,200 prizes of NT$1 million available to win, it said. The number of top prizes, million-dollar-plus prizes, prize categories and the total prize money this year all tie with last year as the most in the company’s history, it added.
