ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Nation is celebrating 76th Independence Day on Monday with a renewed pledge to work with the spirit of Pakistan Movement to make the Country a true Islamic welfare state. The Day dawned with 31- gun salute at the Federal Capital and 21-gun salute at the Provincial Headquarters. Like other parts of the Country, Pakistan’s 76th Independence Day is also being celebrating in Punjab with traditional zeal and fervor. While acting upon directives from the Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi the Independence Day festivities have been marked with a blend of grandeur and patriotic fervor as extensive plans have been finalized for Punjab’s jubilant observance. The main event organized by the Punjab government to mark the Independence Day anniversary of Pakistan is scheduled at Huzuri Bagh.
