CAIRO - 21 September 2021: Chairman of the Egyptian Armed Forces Engineering Authority Ihab al-Far stated Tuesday that his establishment has been assigned to accomplish projects worth LE486 billion since June 30, 2014. Far elaborated that 276 projects worth LE198 billion have been completed, and that 110 others worth LE206 billion are still under progress. The official added that plans have been put to execute 32 projects worth LE82 billion. Speaking of the Suez Canal, the president addressed its ability to recover from the slowdown of international trade incurred by the pandemic. The president noted that the Canal’s revenues rose by 11 percent ($500 billion) compared to last year, considering that a good sign.
