The milestone was shared by Rishad Premji, the current chairman of Wipro and son of founder Azim Premji, on social media platform X. His son Azim Premji was only two years old at the time. In 2019, Azim Premji stepped down as chairman, handing over leadership to his son Rishad Premji. He has donated about 74 per cent of his Wipro shares to the Azim Premji Foundation, which supports education and healthcare initiatives in India.
