Osman Hadi murder case: 2 accused sent to jail for allegedly helping Faisal flee to IndiaDHAKA, Dec 26, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today sent to jail two persons whoallegedly helped prime suspect Foysal Karim Masud fleeing to India, in a caselodged over the murder of Inqilab Moncho spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi. Sharif Osman Hadi, an independent parliamentary candidate for Dhaka-8 andspokesperson of Inqilab Moncho, was shot on December 12 in the capital'sBijoynagar Box Culvert area. According to the case statement, two assailants riding a motorcycle openedfire on Hadi while he was travelling in a battery-run rickshaw and then fledthe scene. Inqilab Moncho member secretary Abdullah Al Zaber filed the casewith Paltan Model Police Station on December 14. The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Siddiq Azad on December 20 orderedthe inclusion of Section 302 (murder) of the Penal Code in the case filedover the attempted killing of Sharif Osman Hadi, turning it into a murdercase following his death on December 18.
