A meeting was held in Tripoli on Sunday between the Director General of the Libyan Export Promotion Centre (LEPC), Mohamed Al-Deeb, and the Chairman of the National Industry Promotion Authority, Muftah Al-Senussi Ageela, to discuss topics related to local industry. The meeting focused on the quality of Libyan products and increasing competitiveness to open greater export horizons in international and regional markets. This is to meet local demand for several materials, goods, and products, arriving at the stage of exporting the surplus abroad, especially to countries that have a commercial relationship with Libya. Workshop next yearAl-Belaili confirmed that the LEPC has agreed with the Industrial Promotion Authority to hold a workshop next year on packaging and storing local agricultural products in a good, elegant and modern form that would attract the attention of international customers. International companies to be invitedHe revealed that international companies specialized in these fields will be invited to the workshop as part of the LEPC’s plan to advance national industry and help local products penetrate global markets in accordance with internationally approved standards.
