ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office announced that Pakistan’s mission was actively engaged in providing support to Pakistani-origin detainees in Libya. The mission has been in contact with the detainees and is collaborating with the United Nations to ensure their well-being, said spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch. During the visit, he met with detainees of Pakistani origin and provided them with essential items, including food and basic necessities. Furthermore, the mission has established communication with the United Nations medical team to arrange routine medical check-ups for the detainees and ensure the provision of necessary medicines. Additionally, they are in contact with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to facilitate the detainees’ early repatriation to Pakistan.
