Netflix co-CEOs Ted Sarandos and Greg Peters on Monday rejected criticism that their proposed deal with Warner Bros. "This is something that we've heard for a long time—including when we started the streaming business," Sarandos and Peters wrote in a Q&A included in a note to employees. "This deal is about growth: Warner Bros. brings businesses and capabilities we don't have, so there's no overlap or studio closures. The two chief executives pledged that Netflix will continue to release Warner Bros. movies in theaters if the acquisition goes through.
