A video showing a man hanging by his feet from the upper railing of former president Ziaur Rahman’s mausoleum in Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar has circulated widely on social media. Many Awami League supporters shared the clip, claiming one of their workers had been “killed and hanged". Police said the man had climbed the mausoleum intending to commit suicide. The seven-second video, shared on Facebook on Friday, shows the man dangling by his feet while holding the rope with one hand.
