The new target is for doctors to register 500,000 new patients — including 180,000 vulnerable ones — by June 2026. Georges Zaarour, head of District Medical in Ahuntsic, which lost nine doctors last year during the height of the uncertainty, says the atmosphere has noticeably improved. He said “it would truly be a win-win-win: a win for the doctors, a win for the government, and then, most importantly, a win for the patients."
